The WS2801 is to be used in conjunction with an external antenna to extend the range of an 802.11b/g wireless network as well as increase the communications channel signal to noiseration to maximize your network data rates. The WS2801 Bi-Directional amplifier with 10dB net receive gain and 12dB transmit gain allows for greater cable lengths between yourantenna and the host 802.11b/g device. The RF power sense automatically switches the amplifier between receive and transmit in under 1µS when levels greater than 0dBm are applied to the radio port. The amplifier's automatic gain control limits the RF level delivered to the antenna to +20dBm.
